My Favorite Writers
Reading is a large part of my life. Over the years, I have developed a love hate relationship with it. At times it can be tedious, and upon other occasions it can be exhilarating. By sharing with you my favorite writers, I hope to relay the same joy and excitement they have given me.
Rick Riordan
Rick Riordan is one of my all time favorite childhood writers. Growing up, I found the Percy Jackson Series to be very entertaining. The Lightning Thief was the first novel of the series and immediately got me hooked. His ability to draw on the intriguing aspects of Greek Mythology allows him to grasp the attention of a large range of audience. I binged his books when I was younger and he is a large inspiration in my writing life.

I was first introduced to John Grisham by mother when I was 16 years old. My mother, being a lawyer, was intrigued by his books since a large portion of the setting of his novels was in the court room. The first book I read by him was passed down to me by my mother. It was called the Rogue Lawyer. I appreciated this novel because it gave me insight on how our judicial system is executed.
The other novel that I highly recommend by John Grisham is called The Reckoning. Its a mystery novel that leaves you questioning the protagonists interior motives throughout the story. Some scenes come at you from the left field, but Grisham consistently shows he is capable of constructing a collection of complex stories with no loopholes.
